As many of you know, a picture speaks a thousand words, but in Ebay, this could be pretty misleading. Often, the pictures of item on sale or on auction are detailed enough to allow the clients to evaluate them. However, distortions are rampant in taken photos sometimes, for example, the color run in the pix might show a totally different color altogether from that of the actual. There could be minor creases or even "fingerprints" on comics that were supposed to be in "mint" condition. And a "huge" dragon model in the photo could actually be only a few inches in length.

Therefore, it is imperative that the Seller gives an accurate description of the item on sale/auction, using pix only as a guiding tool for the Buyers to make up their minds. To a Seller, if a pix speaks a thousand words, then the Seller's credibility speaks a million! To be on the safer side though, most Sellers prefer to use the words "WYSIWYG" which is "What You See Is What You Get" policy when they do not know how to effectively describe the item on sale. Buyers are usually advise to get more information from the Sellers by communicating with them. As a Seller, I am more than happy to answer any questions (regarding the item on auction/sale, of coz ) posed by a potential Buyer. Whether they intend to buy or not is irrelevant - my policy is to ensure that my credibility as a Seller stands perfect in Ebay.

So the next time you are interested in a product but is unsure of its condition or other matters that might influence your buying decision, contact the Seller and find out from him/her directly rather than making an assumption based on the picture that you see posted in the listing. This will save you some heartache and even money and most likely prevent an innocent Seller from getting a negative feedback , just becoz you were too lazy to ask. Trust me - most Sellers are more than happy to answer any questions you might have. There are some Sellers which I've encountered are rather unpleasant - if that's the case, I simply don't bother. If he doesn't not want my business, that's his loss.

Remember, a picture speaks a thousand words - but an honest Seller's credibility speaks a million! Happy Shopping , people!
